Welcome to KIPP Minnesota

KIPP Stand Academy, is the first school in the KIPP Minnesota Region located in Minneapolis. It is part of the nation-wide “Knowledge Is Power Program” which is a network of free, open- enrollment public schools which is committed to the same philosophies of no shortcuts and high expectations for students. We currently have a 5th, 6th and 7th grade and will be growing into 8th grade in the 2011-2012 academic year. Nationally, KIPP provides 99 charter schools for underserved kids in 20 different states and the District of Columbia serving over 26,000 students.
