We are resilient leaders. We are the leaders of our classrooms, our school and our communities. We lead with love and joy. As leaders, we advocate for ourselves and others. We are effective communicators, analytical thinkers, collaborative problem-solvers and lifelong learners. We will discover our identities and strengths as we honor and celebrate each other’s individual strengths. We support each other as we overcome challenges to grow into the best version of ourselves. We will use our strengths to climb the mountain to and through high school and college and to impact our community.
Our school is characterized by love - love of self, love of others and love of learning. This love makes us feel safe. We ask questions and listen in order to build meaningful and lasting relationships. When needed, we give and receive feedback with love. When there is a challenge, we are resilient and do not give up. We demonstrate optimism by believing that setbacks are temporary and we take actions to overcome them. We joyfully celebrate our growth and success and the growth and success of others. Through our actions, we positively impact ourselves and others.
Our classrooms are characterized by well-crafted lessons, purposeful and relevant learning tasks, and frequent feedback. In order for learning to happen in the classrooms, students productively struggle individually and collectively to make meaning out of complex concepts. Students effectively communicate their answers, questions and thinking in a variety of methods. Students utilize technology to support their learning. Throughout the learning process,we celebrate growth and recognize achievement.Through our instruction, students discover their strengths and passion and use these to impact our community.
