SHANA FORD

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Shana, a native Minnesotan, is a mission-driven executive with over 20 years of experience leading highly effective teams while implementing transformational outcomes for communities. She joined KIPP Minnesota in September 2020 and has taken steps to transform the KIPP MN community, including launching the Literacy Revolution which focuses on early reading intervention and support. Previously, Shana served as the Vice President for the Center for Economic Inclusion and was the Director of Lending and Impact Investing for First Children’s Finance. She also served as Chief Administration and Human Capital Officer for the Harvest Network of Schools, following an 18-year career in banking where she served as Vice President with BMO Harris and Wells Fargo.

Shana holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing management and a master’s degree in leadership.


Isreal Moses IV, PHD

CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER

Isreal is a lifelong educator who  began at KIPP MN in January 2021 with over fifteen years experience as a high school administrator. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start MFAM Capital & Consulting LLC., which focuses on public speaking and staff development, emphasizing the socio-emotional aspects of education. Isreal received his Bachelor of Science from North Dakota State, and a Master of Arts in educational leadership from Hamline University. 

Isreal enjoys volunteering as a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Big Brother Big Sister, and March of Dimes. Currently, he is serving as a board member for the Northside YMCA. Isreal and his wife, Kyra, have three children. His favorite quote which epitomizes all avenues of his work is, “Everybody can be great because everybody can serve.” - Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.


Deonna Perez-Evans

CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Deonna started at KIPP MN in July 2021. Before that, she worked in non-profit human resources for 20 years and is a Senior Certified Human Resources Professional (SPHR / SHRM-CP). Deonna earned her bachelor’s degree in management with a minor in organizational behavior and a Master of Art in human resource management from Concordia University-St. Paul. 

Deonna  is a native Minnesotan who has four children, and five grandchildren. She is an avid reader of sci-fi, horror, and has a new found love of Korean cinema. Most importantly, Deonna has been on a journey of lifelong learning and discovery and enjoys helping others on this same journey within her community.


Mirdalys Herrera Tweeton

CHIEF OF STAFF

Mirdalys was born and raised in Cuba and brings over 15 years of corporate experience to KIPP MN. Previously, she worked at the Center for Economic Inclusion and Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where she was a key part of the team as they implemented the combination's strategic plan. Mirdalys holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal sociology and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.

In 2009, Mirdalys joined the Army National Guard to serve her new country, while working full-time. She is a Grammy-nominated jazz singer who has performed at venues all across the country. Throughout her time in Minnesota, Mirdalys has volunteered for causes that are dear to her heart including Casa de Esperanza, the Army National Guard, and Global Rights for Women. During her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her four children and husband.


 

Tiffany Harris

DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION

Tiffany Harris is a dedicated education professional with 17 years of experience, committed to fostering inclusive learning environments and supporting student success. As Director of Special Education, her leadership in managing teams and implementing strategic initiatives at KIPP Minnesota reflects her exceptional skills and innovative approach. Beyond the classroom, she actively engages in volunteer work and community organizations, making a positive impact in the field of education. Tiffany's passion for equitable education and belief in every individual's potential drive her mission to develop inclusive learning environments.


Sarah Johnson

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Sarah is a Brooklyn Center, MN native who joined KIPP MN in 2022. She assists our CEO Ms. Shana Ford with her daily activities, scheduling meetings, board liaison, and any additional projects needed. Before KIPP MN, Sarah worked in various industries including insurance, hospitality, corrections, military, and photography. She feels honored for the opportunity to use her wide range of experiences and skills to help create change in her home community. 

Sarah double majored in global studies and Spanish while minoring in military history. She also received her associate’s degree in photography. Sarah served in the Minnesota Army National Guard as a Logistics Officer for nine years. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 8 chickens.
